Sorry for the delay on the XTRA
update; it’s been a crazy couple of weeks. Between my senior trip, having my
wisdom teeth taken out, harvest and prepping for Junior Nationals, I’ve been
everywhere but home!

We had a
great turn out at our Spring Preview XTRA show this year, including lots of
visitors from Nebraska, including the Nebraska Hereford Queen and my good
friend Miss Makayla Rutt. She was around to help out with handing out awards
while I was showing, which is much appreciated!
Our kids,
as usual, have compiled a fantastic showing of cattle and I look forward to
seeing how they compete at Junior Nationals. Also, a BIG thank you is in order
to our wonderful adviser, Miss Sue Roland, for all the great work she does. We
couldn’t do it without you!

We also had many contests taking
place. Congratulations to all of our kids who competed in informative speeches,
photography, posters and showmanship! You all never cease to impress me!

I can’t wait to see you all in
Grand Island at the Junior National Hereford Expo! I will be sure to keep the
blog and the Facebook page up-to-date throughout the week of all KJHA members
activities!
