Headed to the Big D, and Don't Mean Dallas

This past week reminded me exactly why I love being a part of the Hereford family! My family left January 7th and headed to Denver for the National Western Stock Show. We spent the week prepping our pen of bulls and pen of heifers for show day on Friday and, better yet, spending time with fellow Hereford breeders from around the country and the world.
It was a very busy week for all, well except those of us in the yards on Wednesday! The snow sent us all to hide out on the hill throughout the day. Unfortunately, I was unable to watch the Junior and Bull show on Thursday because I was getting our cattle ready for the show the next day. But soon enough Friday came along and it was our turn to show. We had a successful day with our heifers winning their division.
The next day I was allowed leave from the pen so I could watch the Heifer show during the day. It was so great to see the cattle put forward by all our wonderful breeders.
I want to wish a special congratulation to all our Kansas breeders who took home ribbons.
In the yards: 4V Douthit Hereford Ranch won the Yearling Bull Calves Division.
Jensen Brothers won the Spring Bull Calves Class and the Junior Bull Calves Class.
Sandhill Farms won the Reserve Champion Pen of Bulls.

And on the hill: Brady Jensen won the Horned Spring Heifer Division.

Congratulations to all!
